TK “the Koil” Stack

(a play on one of the UNI mascots “TK”)

Hint there will be a “TC” too at some point.

TK is slated to be a 1.4kVA coil almost exact to NEO .

We have 2 FRANCE 12kV 60mA tranys.

We will be NOT be using MMCs as we now have a .020µF 45kV pulse cap.

The NST(s) will have a Terry Fritz filter on it .

After the 1^st light I added the strike rail and Better GND buss..

4” by 24 PVC pipe

Slated wire size is 22 AWG

PRI

.25” Cu Tube .

Inner turn is at the 2.25” mark.

Spacing is .25”

We have 11 turns planned .

We will have a Strike rail that is 2.75” above deck hight .

Each 12/60 of NST needs 0.013µF . .026µF total

The Maxwell we have is .020µF 45kV, good enough.

1^st Light with a 2” Secondary , for fun .

Gosh how I love the smell of Ozone .

Very soon we will have the new SEC wound and ready to fire up .

I have never used a maxwell cap on a smaller coil ,

NEO was MMC . It will be interesting to see what runs better ..
